A few more additional items that need modifying...

Passenger side firewall/foot well needs to be modified, due to Cyl 6 header.
Need the E28 M5 Cluster coding plug
E36/E30 Stock radiators work as well

Iwas thinking maybe we can have a group buy on these motors, since i have 3 engines in line as of now.

well these motors are coming from salvaged vehicles and the companies i work with all pretty relaible. I will try my very best to help out with whatever I can. Buying used anything is taking a risk but I have bought a few and no problems yet...

                          RE: Exchange rate

Compression numbers.... Look very nicely balanced, but agree with comments about a fresh motor having MUCH higher compression for a Euro motor. 11.1 after all! That could still be a very smooth and powerful engine, but if the numbers are real, and the method for measuring them along with the tools being correct and accurate, they are low overall.

The exchange rate is crazy low today, 1.45 for the GBP, no better time to import from the UK where they speak english, not sure what the euro is doing in Germany.

UK engines will be RHD, course, thats not a huge deal, but now may be the time to get German ones if the exchange rate is good there too.

I don't offer Group Buys on Euro motors, but that is an interesting concept. I used to bring these in 5-7 at a time when the exchange rate was 1.7 or even 1.9, it was the only way to cut the expenses down.

Today, heck, you don't need my bulk purchasing/shipping savings or anyone's with the rate at 1.4, its pretty straightforward and affordable. While I don't offer Karim's group buy idea, I can offer a very high level of support, I've been there and done that for years, having installed several of these and coached many people thorugh it.

At the end of the day, its not Rocket Science, and you can probably get all the info from in this forum on your own.

ABLOrignialParts.com has a FAQ which might provide some basic information.

Oh, btw, if you can get an MZ3 coupe/roadster engine that harness is the same for RHD or LHD and lends itself very well to the E30 transplant since you want nicely finished boots to terminate the splice box if you retain it, and pass the dme through the firewall.

Seals -It (*) is a newish product that would lend itself nicely to revising the firewall, and passing the 88pin connector through for you guys. MZ3 mounting tabs could hang the splice box, and it would look nice....Course, the E30M3 parts that tuck all away are VERY nice looking

(*) http://www.sealsit.com Pegasus and Racerparts Wholesale carry these I think, along now with many other vendors.

                          There 'ya go... value added.

*****edited added******* Holy Cow... Euro is even lower than the GBP, had no idea....

You need to get out of that garage of yours more often, and I don't mean going from yours to Jeff's place ;)

Its very simple, these motors are coming from salvage yards in Europe and most of the companies test the motors before they actually break the car down to parts. It all comes down to price and who in the U.S can give you a good price. I am not in the euro motor business and dont make a living of selling them either.

It doesnt matter whom you buy them from since they are coming from the same sources in Europe, the difference is how much you will pay for them in the U.S. I can provide customers with invoices of how much the engine kits cost me and how much I am really gonna make. I am doing this to help fellow members in the forums and yes my sources will stay behind their products if there is a problem with anything major. So far knock on wood I havent had a problem with the engine and will pray that I dont have a problem in the future.

I had a feeling that there was gonna a lil bit of interference in this thread once I got involved.. Lets see how it goes.
