temperature wise, it's not going to do anything more than the stock airbox did. There's no pressure effect either, so don't expect a "forced air" intake.

it makes a good difference in temps on an open filter, and is most effective at lower speeds (25-50mph).

a dyno won't measure it since there's no air moving through your car..

The headlight mod gives the engine less obstructed path from which to suck in air. Same effect a CAI has vs. an airbox. It should be measurable. My $.02.

i used chiken coupe wire and clamped it in with the o-ring that holds the light in so to speak.

                  You've dyno'd it with and without, I assume? :)

no but I can measure and log intake pressure. There's no "restriction" caused by the inlet, the ONLY thing you gain is cooler air, assuming you've got an open filter. ;)

                      ^ These two don't compute

Cooler air should be worth something - if there is no measurable gain, then why do it?

I'm saying the dyno won't measure the cooler air because the air around the car is stagnant when you're sitting there. your intake is going to heatsoak either way.

and it's not going to be cooler than the stock airbox. it's ambient air. both methods suck air from the headlight area instead of from the engine bay, so both will have the same temperature.
