so when you put in the new dme and main power relay does the check eng light come on?Comment

thats telling me that the dme is not getting power. you should next trace the power wires from the battery +12v connection back into the harness. along with the grounds from the harness.
your main problem is that the dme/harness is not getting power or a power signal from the key to turn on the dme.
once the dme gets power the check eng light will turn on, and the car will run if everything else needed is in place and connected correctly.Comment

I traced them back I have one from the junction box to the starter, then from the starter I have two that go into the harness to the DME like this picture
Does the DME get power from the black and yellow wire on the starter?
Then I have one wire from the starter to the alternator then I have one from the alternator going into the harness.Comment

black and yellow wire is the starter signal to the starter its self from the key.I traced them back I have one from the junction box to the starter, then from the starter I have two that go into the harness to the DME like this picture

Does that wire tell the DME to turn on? And the wire on the back of the alternator gives the DME power?Comment
-
no the dme pulls power via the adapter harness (pin 13 iirc) that gets the power from the ign switch (one way or another)
the wire from the alt is the signal wire to the cluster (charge light)Comment
-
If the adapter is good and sending power to the DME and the harness is grounded then the DME should get power unless somethings wrong with the main relay right?Comment

could you post a few more pics of the main power junction? there should be
2 wires from the fuse box hooked up
1 wire from the motor wiring harness
1 main wire that runs to the started
I was just looking at the pick you posted and it looks like only the fuse box is connected to the terminalComment
