That exhaust is so big and heavy for a 318is. It is shaped so awkwardly that if and when you have to dremel out a bigger exhaust hole in your rear valence, you will cut much more than you want which makes things look a lot worse. That's the only reason I went with the e36 m3 stromung setup. Much smaller, 40 pounds lighter, sounds way better, and actually fits how you would want an exhaust to fit.

I have an e36 m3 exhaust and I'm throwing it away. Perfect condition but no good.

Yeah, I bought the midsection-back of a stock E36 M3 exhaust, and I'm having second thoughts about it. I know it fits and looks fine, but it's still huge and heavy.

I think Ill be ordering the vibrant 3" resonator and probably just goin 3" all the way back

Have you considered a smaller exhaust diameter? 3 inches is overkill for M50 HP levels and will remove some torque from your low and mid RPM ranges.Or are planning on boost?

I have a magnaflow 2.5" on my M52TU swap, but one I would love to have the Remus exhaust for the e30.

I had this on my 87' 325i vert, loved it! looked great! sounded amazing, low rumble at low revs, then opens up alot! especially when you bounce it off the Rev. limiter :mrgreen:

yea it will it killed the low end on my M52 then i went with 2.5 all the way back and helped A LOT!

ill be going header to y pipe into 3 inch to my resonator to 3inch back to a muffler, considering borla and looking at others

I could be wrong on this, but I believe the M52 was engineered to run with a little back pressure. I know the M52TU was. Some of the newer BMW motors will drop in power output with high flow exhausts. Correct me if I am wrong.
