how fast is your s50e30????

I miss my E46 M3 - and the S50'd E36 I sold to build my S50 E30 was boring. So I knew this car would not be ridiculously fast, just be hella fun because of the weight and size differences.

Also, I always thought 3.15 rear ends with the ZF 1/1 was kind of tall with an S50 that has very little torque. Bump it to a 3.25 or similar and it may get that seat of pants impression everyone looks for. Clearly does not make it quicker, just feel that way.

It felt nice and quick with the 4.10 and ZF. But, sadly, that was kind of undrivable. ZF+3.46 was OK, but still awfully annoying on the highway. At this point, I'm finding a 3.46 with the 260 livable. The car wants more power, though.

hey man im sorry i didnt mean to to make you think your advice wasnt good enough, i must of forgot you answered a question about the drive shaft for me because i asked you sooo many. sorry....:sad:

The only driveshaft from an e36 m3 you can use is the one with a 4 bolt rear flange if you want to use the e30 diff. So, said driveshaft has to be from a coupe/vert because I believe sedans are a but longer. Not sure if sedan's are longer, that is just what I assume.

so far everything is looking good, i just ordered all my parts today and they should be ariving tuesdays. if i have any further questions i will let you know aswell. thanks

How wide are your current wheels and what size tires are you running? What width do you think you'll have to run? I'm wondering since I may have to get wider wheels than my 7.5" width wheels for my S52 swap.

I have Alpina 16x7's, think I'm running 205/50/16 tires. I would like to get two Alpina 16x8's for the rear but they are damn hard to find. I'm tempted to sell my set of Alpinas and get something else in 16x7.5 front and 16x8.5 rear.
