    I'm spinning, just not engaging.
The 2 smaller terminals on the solenoid might be reversed internally.

Grab a hunk of wire, disconnect the main power from the starter (so it won't spin) and see if you can make the solenoid "clunk" and use that terminal as the starter side, then test the other as your unloader side.

cant swap the green black and yellow black, the terminals are two different sizes,

Bumping this thread, because im having a similar issue, I have windows and radio but no HVAC power, going to check k7 and see what's what.

If the C101/C20 adapter was incorrectly pinned out (as it seems quite a few are) the green/black would not get a proper signal from the starter.

I bet your issue is more of either K7 or power to it. The coil wire for K5 and K7 are shared AFAIK, all the way to the board on the relay panel in the fuseblock.

Troubleshot this window problem with jumping both the K5 and K7 relays with a wire/fuse. Ran a wire from the top green/black post to the chassis and it wasn't strong enough because it blew the wire. I'll try again tomorrow.

Will just replacing the K5/K7 relays fix it?

If in fact all the avenues don't work, will a new starter be needed?

This problem just surfaced after I removed the dashboard, it's still out pending installation..
