I just finished my M50 swap, with cams ect....and it is Fing awesome. I CAN however feel the weight difference over my little M10, in my handeling and my brakes.
But its great:D

I've got an M42 318iS at the moment and about shove in a Euro alloy block M52 2.5l in so hopefully I won't notice the weight difference as much as you!

The M42 is already heavier than M10 so the difference will be less compared to yours!

What suspension did you end up putting in after you did it?

I havent changed it yet , thats the problem. A few months before I did the swap I put in new Billies, and sport springs. The M50 install was kind of an unplanned thing. So I still need to switch my suspension out.
......and I really hope it helps cause its like driving a completely different car, right now. Its not actually any lower, just like driving a boat.....and stopping an elephant.:D

I have lil electrical gremlins that like to not die but for the most part I still like it...but I think this would be the case with any electrical modifications done to any car

Have yet to run into a problem, so I still love it. It's a hell of a lot easier to deal with than my swapped subaru was! Gotta love the looks on peoples faces when an old wagon with an s52 fires up in parking lots.
