Who else freaking loves their 24V swap?

Loved my s52 e30 before, but I'll like my s54 M3 MUCH more! Especially as I hear the CSL airbox scream past 8k!!! :woowoo:

24v E30s are a lot of fun when they're set-up properly. With boost they become pretty mean! :twisted:

never been so stressed or had so many problems in my life. biggest waste of money i've ever spent.

literally everything that can go wrong with a swap went wrong

it's only worth it the once a month i get to drive it

I had this problem at first....I spent all this time gathering information, so i would be ready for anything and have it all planned out.
Well needless to say NOTHING went right, I spent 3X what I'd planned.
It nice now that I can actually drive it around though....could be a little faster.

LOVE the swap. Compared to the sick M20/autotragic that was replaced, the M50 feels like a new car. Easily the best money I have spent on this thing so far. Went way over budget (3k vs 2k) but had to do more work than a standard swap as well (trans, and cooling system conversion) but still well worth it when you hit the loud pedal. I can only imagine what an S50 is like in these things

First time owning an e30 though a few friends have had them in the past. Didn't drive it with the m20 so no comparison, but my boosted m52 is feeling pretty sweet so far!

Just had cams/software installed, along with Castro's air box and a bunch of big suspension stuff done and let's just say I like my car all over again. it wants to play.

Now it's time to upgrade the brakes. Still debating between IE's 310mm 6 pot BBK or a more simple UUC BBk.

I have loved my e30 for the past 11 years-second marrage-3 kids-two dogs and a cat and no matter what motor it may have in it. Its an E30 and thats all that counts.:up:

Sounds a lot like me, but I came from a Turner-chipped 325e. My car feels like a whole new animal, I'm in love with it all over again. My exhaust system is crap right now and sounds terrible, but that's the only thing I don't like about the whole swap.

I went way over what I wanted to spend as well, but I replaced SO much maintenance stuff that had been put off for way too long, as well as shaving and repainting the engine bay.
