Im going to call placebo on this one.

With a fixed maximum vacuum (the engine) you aren't going to create higher vacuum with a vacuum reservoir, only a more constant vacuum. This is great if, as mentioned above, you have a huge lumpy cam that doesnt pull much vacuum at idle. A stock BMW engine does not have this problem. Vacuum gauges are cheap, someone do a back to back test and prove me wrong.

I did this and it helped immensely with STREET compound brake pads. I hated the brake feel without it, adding the canister definitely helped in brake assist and responsiveness.

Again, I am not sure of my results yet, but the last time I went to the track, I do recall having to really press hard on the pedal to reach threshold. So, I'll know for sure probably in a few weeks.

I think I disagree with the principal of the statement above. I don't think the point here is to create higher, or "boost" vacuum. it is, as you say, to create a more constant vacuum. That way you will have vacuum through the entire pedal stroke, as opposed to using it all up in the first 1/2 of the stroke.

I'd like to hear another side of it before I decide to drop a grand on brakes and a master.

So just wanted to let you guys know, I fixed a couple vacuum leaks that came out of nowhere and my brakes feel better than they did. If your brakes absolutely suck you may want to make sure you don't have any lurking. I'm just going to make sure the massive kit will clear my wheels and give it a shot. I'm confident it will be better than what I've got(obviously)

Any updates on this? My 2002 Tii booster is not enough on its own.

Unfortunately I've been too broke to go to the track lately. I promise I'll report back when I do!

                    Solution:
                    Stop using E21 booster.

like when? I run dual diaphram boosters on every car i do, never having to even shim the motor mounts.

I have a large selection of boosters i use from a number of newer and older cars but the one most people use is an IX. I flush mount everything though.
