E30 M3 wire Covers, on S/M50 UPDATE

Solution:


Need little help here, trying to finish up my S50 swap.
Is there a trick how to fit all the wires and an adapter so the Covers will click in place?
[ looks like the ground will need to be moved,]
Is there a write up anyone made that you know of? or just keep on trying to fit it the best way?
any help would be appreciated, thankS!

its looking good from the ecu all the way till little passed the middle,
my second question, Im using an adapter that NANDO made [ looks good will show pictures]

Whats the best way to fit adapter? since it would never fit under/inside the cover...
[i know lots of you dont have adapters, but for now i will have to use it...]

Lots of tape/zip-ties. Remove unnecessary wires if auto.

I ran the fuse box power wires under the cover. You can still get some zip ties around it, so that it stays pretty snug. That frees up some space under the cover for the rest of the wires. Other than that, just try to contain all of the wires as best as possible.

There are areas to run the zipties to hold your wiring in place. I ran the ground through my battery cover panel, although I wish I had been more creative.

I left the ground and power wires where they were. remember, these covers were meant to fit E30s, it's not like you have to really modify anything. The only real modification is trimming a bit around the intake manifold.

Try to eliminate some wires if you dont need them -- auto, ac, abs, etc whatever you don't need you'll have an easier time

none of those wires run through the engine harness cover

I probably used almost 2 dozen, and just crammed down every wire as tight as I could (without damaging them, of course). Just go slowly and carefully, you can get them all to fit, and not a single one of mine is ran outside the covers.

Don't give up..it looks so much better with the m3/318 cover on..it's a lot of work,but worth it!

lots of pushing down, and pulling ties tighter. in addition to that you of course need to remove all shielding and stupid stuff. lots of unnecessary stuff to remove of course.

I took out almost 30 feet of wiring from mine, a lot of it is looped back upon itself and excessive. My wiring wrap is about as big around as a nickel now. Looks great.
