    S52 Swap With OBD2 SOCAL

Im looking to do a E30 S52 swap, I want to keep it obd2 since the motor I purchase came with the wiring harness. Does any one know a person or shop that can do the swap in SOCAL?

It simply isn't worth it... you'll need to modify the fuel tank for the DMTL etc. You're better off finding a harness and ECU. You'll save alot of money... We're in NorCal and can do the swap.. we do alot of them. We also go through incomplete or poorly done swaps and get them running properly and deal with the BAR and smog for you.

it will be expensive if you want to BAR it and dont' have a complete parts car, not to mention if you are going to pay a shop there are plenty of extra hours involved vs going obd1

Whats this talk of modifying the fuel tank?? All I've heard is that it's basically the same as an S50 swap but you haveta get the EWS flashed out of the ECU. I'm trying to decide whether to go obd1 or stay obd2, but I can't find reliable information anywhere.

OBD2 BMW's use a DMTL pump to insure the fuel system is properly sealed. Without it you'll throw a DMTL pump error and will not pass smog.

I do believe that is for the M54 http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E4...bon_container/

the m/s52 does not have that pump http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E3...e/fuel_supply/
