You bumped your own thread after 30 minutes?

If your temp gauge is not working there is something wrong in the engine harness to body harness wiring. Either that or you're not running the correct temperature sender.

Your fuel gauge is totally independent of the engine's wiring and a swap will not effect it.

Haha yea sorry..its because I work on it at night since I work most fo the day..I put the brown top sensor off of the e30 and I heard it had to be directly wired to the back of the cluster but I'm not sure of what wire to connect

the sensor does NOT need to go directly to the cluster. make sure your wiring is correct at the C101/X20 and plug the factory M50 plug into your M20 sensor that you have installed. viola, working temp gauge.

fuel gauge has nothing to do with the swap.

you didn't swap clusters at the same time did you? ground nut on back of fuel gauge tight?

you need to swap the fuel gauge in from your old cluster then.

                      The gauges aren't the same?

there are two different types of fuel gauge, one for a late model single pump system, and one for the early dual pumps. difference is that the late models use two senders, and hence a different gauge. swap your old gauge back in, and it will work fine.

And seriously, stop driving your car without a temp gauge.

so still no luck on the gauges. i replaced the cluster with the correct one and i still got nothin. temp gauge still goes straight to hot when key on. mr 325 i dont drive my car. havent driven it in a year. i would never drive a car without knowing the temp.
