Weight transfer ftw! I finally got a proper clutch in my car and discovered that my 225 bfg's actually hook better than I thought when the clutch isnt slipping, good bit of wheel hop but I've got a larger rear sway bar and stiff springs.
    Old and improved:

+1 Also a lot of people here are running on heavy ass wheels that are slowing them down.

I'll be taking my M50 car to a strip when I get it sorted, I'm very curious to accurately gauge how quick it is.
I wish I could find it. I'd buy it back, I miss it.

          Just ran today....

          e30 M54
          245/40-17 rear tires, Getrag 260, 3.25 diff. 215 rwhp. Around 2700 lbs.

60 deg. F, almost sea level, Bremerton Raceway, WA

          60'......2.042
          330.....5.948
          1/8.....9.122 at 77.39
          1000...11.825
          1/4.....14.057 at 102.95

Granny launch worked best. Any kind of a launch from over 2000rpm and I spun. Traps were consistently at 103. I was expecting a slightly lower e.t but also a slower trap. I beat some mustangs and got edged by the Challengers.

Car is capable of 13.8 me thinks.

          Great fun!

Very nice speed! I'm a little surprised with the time vs. the speed. I was 14.4@94 with my m50, almost 10 mph slower. And I was pulling a 2.2 60' IIRC. I'd think you should be mid 13's.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to make of it. My 60' is good, so am I slow through the first 1/8 and then blasting the last 1/8?

It might be because of your rear ratio. With a g260 a 3.73 is better matched up for the strip. Your rear would be great with a zf trans

94mph is REALLY slow for 14.4. You must of got an amazing launch or something.

Not really. That is about what I had. When I ran a 13.9 it was right at 100.

Hoveringuy you should have a better 1/4 time. Your speed looks great!

Yea after looking at other times I guess not.

People I know running low to mid 14s are all 97-100mph. :-/
Maybe our track is just terrible or something. haha

                        That's far from amazing.

Here are other times from that day:

                          60'......2.042.....2.232....2.239....2.285....2.61 8
                          330.....5.948.....6.136....6.212....6.278....6.801
                          1/8.....9.122.....9.327....9.393....9.537....10.028
                          MPH... 77.39.....77.52....77.22....76.36....76.29
                          1000...11.825...12.029...12.096..12.265..12.755
                          1/4.....14.057...14.266...14.326..14.511..14.995
                          MPH....102.95...101.16...102.91..102.19..102.55

On most of them I spun, on the last one I spun like crazy, had a horrible 1/8 time, and still trapped at 102 1/2 mph! Yes, I got slower through the day. The harder I tried to go fast, the slower I went.

I would be a good match against a Boss 429...

                          or a 2010 Mustang GT...

Whoops, missed that. Still, it's a good ET for a 94mph trap!

Is there really that big of a difference between the M50NV and the M50 vanos? Is it safe to say M50 non vano's are capable of mid 14's?
