Well I hate to be the voice of reason but it does more than get you your clearance, it changes geometry so you don't have the notchy mechanical resistance.

I have the old school turner e36 M3 drop in shifter ( blue cup) and dssr 232 for e46 323i and my shifter is the shift.

I have poly urethane engine and tranny mounts plus AKG bushings all over the car so it will vibrate no matter what. Even with the guibo the car will have not much a change and will still vibrate.

I have AKG poly MM and AKG metal cup trans bushings. I wouldn't recommend running no guibo, there is a reason you want the driveshaft able to flex at the transmission

No problems of it touching the guibo or shaft itself?

None at all, my only issue is my selector rod is too long. Might have a Zf310 with Zf320 selector rod.

This is neutral, but I am able to reach all gears. just feels a lil far back

^if that is neutral then your linkage is too short instead of long.

Hmm I might have it backwards than, how many MM you think i am short? Was going to order UUC DSSR 189mm but maybe I need 198mm which makes more sense since its suppose to be a ZF320.

I think your selector rod is too short.. With my 198mm the selector falls perfectly in line with the carrier arm. Well I ordered a z3 1.9 this morning. Should be getting it tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it works out for me

the 1.9 works, as its what i have ran on all 4 dohc/zf swapped cars i have had. the first time i ordered one, i got the z4m one and it would not clear the guibo.

I'm running the z3m with the ZF. It was necessary to shave a few MM from the bottom of the lever to clear the driveshaft.
