328i automatic driveshafts can work. It is same but front part is longer, there are driveshaft shops that can shorten it and rebalance it, don't know the cost but it should not be that much. In my opinion ZF is overkill on E30. I got getrag 250 in my E30 and it works great.

I used www.sb-driveline.us to lengthen my driveshaft. Excellent service, excellent price quick turnaround.

No affiliation, just trying to help people out.

As mentioned above, the G250 is probably just fine for the E30 and I kind of wish I had kept mine. The ZF is a heavy trans! Also, the G250 has the smaller bolt circle so you don't have to buy a swap guibo. I just used sleeves in the trans flange from McMaster to reduce the hole size from 12mm to 10mm.

I am John, the owner of Revshift. I have been restructuring the company for the past few months. The immaturity and negligence has been corrected by letting some choice people go. I apologize for the distasteful posts that were made by immature people under this username. I am the only person that will be posting from now on. I have even tried contacting the administrator about changing the username to John@Revshift to clear up any confusion.

With that said, our swap mounts suck! That is why I pulled them from the website and am currently redesigning them to fit and function better than any other option on the market. The swap mounts that we were selling were just a polyurethane version of the e28 mounts which don't even work that well for the 24v swap in the first place. I regret not designing a better swap mount sooner.

We have never had any issues with our suspension bushings. Everyone who has installed them seems to be very happy. All of our polyurethane parts are warrantied for life. We make everything in-house, ourselves, we do not outsource anything. None of our competitors can say the same about themselves.

If anyone has any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact me directly at sales@revshift.com or call me at 586-510-4042.

Thank you for clearing that up with at least me! after seeing the previous comments your guys put up really turned me off from revshift. Now reading what you wrote i will consider you when doing my suspension bushing. :)

I purchased a set of mounts a few years back and the fitment wasn't working with my setup ( IX booster, raceland headers) and sold them to another member. Never had an issue with cust serv back then guys offered to make me one off mounts if I gave them specs. It's great you're redesigning them. That being said and your 180* response I would purchase a set of ver. 2.0 mounts.

G250s are disposable POS transmissions IMHO. The ZF is built to last, shifts smooth, and doesn't grenade like the G250s do. I'd rather have a G260 behind my engine than a G250. I've experienced enough failures with them to know better.

Get the drive shaft that matches the ZF, you will not be sorry. ZF boxes can take a beating and generally only fail when ran hard on low / no fluid.

Jump on bF.c and you should find one fairly quick.

Truth^ Had G250 on my very first swap and it didnt last long before it would pop out of gear if you got on it too hard. I would say the tranny in my 4cyl z3 ( 260?
) handled the M52 better than the g250 handled the M50 NV motor....

As someone already said, E30 M3 also fits bolt on.
There are other versions of the E36 that have shafts that work like 323i M52 and 325td/tds but i think these were never sold in the US.

                      E36 M3 4 bolt, E36 328, early G260 E30, E30 M3. If you haven't been able to find a driveshaft, it's because you haven't tried to find one.

                        The 4cyl E36 based cars had a G250.
