the pan looks good man i like incorporated AN fitting. We here at Bimmerbuddies actually make modded 24v swap pans in much the same way, we utilize a one way hinged baffle though to keep oil from sloshing away from the modified pickup while still being able to return, let me know how your baffle works with cornering though as it looks a bit simpler to make.

Also if anybody wants one we build them to order but have a couple examples on hand if anybody's interested, they are the best thing since skid plates for 24v swap guys after all.

^^^Probably best when coupled with a skid as well! Thanks for the props SmokeE30. Can you provide any pictures of how you make your baffle?

is there a benefit to doing all this work over spending $100 on a e34 pan?

that is an e34 M50 oil pan. the OP moded the pan for more ground clearance.

so the OP spent $100 on an e34 oil pan and spent more time and money to make it better for ground clearance and decided to share the process with us.

ah ok, gotcha. Reading does a brain good... Just read the title. I must have missed that it was an e34 pan.

Yeah...I have grown tired of hitting things with my oil pan and feeling like I may rupture my pan every other day. Thanks for looking!

Finally running this on the regular; no track days yet but the oil press. readings are identical to the stock pan so far! Will post up after a track session after I hit one up!

Hey guys, just FYI, I have been running this pan with great success for well over a year. I am thinking about making a few more in there is any interest.
