What gear do you dyno your swap in?

Just curious what you guys have had your cars dyno'd at? Taking mine to a buddies shop tomorrow to see what it lays down and would like to be consistent with others on here!

Its the g260 trans and a 3.73 rear end if that makes a difference

    Thanks!
    Brad

    P.S.
If you want to play the over/under guessing game, my specs are below:
    S52
    TRM Tune
    21.5lb Pink Injectors
    Lightweight Flywheel
    OBD1 Intake Manifold/Throttle Body
Bimmerworld 3.5" intake and AEM Dry Filter
OBD1 Stock Exhaust manifolds (the OBD2 ones were cracked)
2 glass packs right after the "X" pipe that joins both headers.
    No A/C, No Powersteering.
    No Manual Cooling Fan

    I'm going to guess 229whp/217wtq :o

You're going to have some pretty wonky readings if you dyno in anything other than yours trans' 1:1 gear.

Should be 4th. Also, the type of dyno can shift the numbers up or down (mustang vs dynojet, etc.). Post your results!

My guess is 215 HP if its a dynojet. Good luck!

Isn't the 1:1 gear on the ZF box, 5th? Why did you dyno in third?

Oh god. The 1:1 argument again.

I'm not sure how a simple question can be construed as an argument? I'm obviously ignorant here and genuinely asking you.

Well obviously somethings not working right at this shops dyno.......these are the numbers graph I got.....

                          282whp/248wtq

                          I dyno'd in 4th which is 1:1 on my G260 trans........as far as I know I don't have cams.

anybody want to wager a guess why I'm so far off the numbers others have gotten?

I was going to say - I've dyno'd in 3rd, 4th, and 5th and the difference between the 3 curves was well within the margin of error.

I prefer 3rd because my car doesn't have the power to spin up the rollers very quickly in 4th, meaning I don't have to beat up the car so much by staying at high-RPM for an extended period of time until I hit the redline.
