Getting BAR'd Certified, Fail... HELP!

I think I know why I'm not passing. Went to remove the thermostat housing to replace the thermostat I found out there is NO THERMOSTAT... Last time I took it to a shop so they can remove a bolt I broke off when replacing the thermostat and thermostat housing. They must of forgot to put the thermostat back. :(

Interested in this thread because I'm concerned with passing smog if I need to register my car here.

UPDATE!!!!!

So after I found out the the thermostat was missing, I went an put a new one on. Took it to a local smog shop to run a pre-test. Numbers went down drastically. Failed by 3 points on the first run. Second run i barely passed. I know if I would of ran the car longer I would of pass with the stock cats. I will be replacing the cats to aftermarket cats before I actually take it to the ref. I know for a fact, this time, it will pass with flying colors.
