    I think you missed the point:


    Nv electronics do not have knock sensors.

    Vanos is a lovely feature to have; both top end and bottom end power increase.

    Miller war was availible for vanos 413 computer and setup; not for nv last time I checked.

    You could also mechanically remove the vanos / intake cam and convert the entire engine to non vanos

      ok, had a look on the side of the block and no knock sensors.

      So my next question is, can a vanos head be fitted to a non- vanos block??
      if so is this what has been done here??
      E30/ 318i m10, e30 m50 & E34/ 520i m50

        Nv blocks dont have threads for knock sensors but the casting is there and can be drilled / tapped.
