I'll see if I can dig out my wiring connectors colors to compare

I ran across your pinout several times actually, thank you for posting and helping as much as you do.

I have already verified that the distribution block is connected properly (checked under sheathing). I believe everything is connected properly, went by wire color to plug function several times. :/ just changed main relay, still nothing. :(

sounds like your harness mite not be hooked up rite. you say your car has no CEL, do you have access to the PEAK tool to check and see if any codes are being thrown?

as far as the PIN 66 and 81 question, i have no idea. I lucked out and all 3 swaps i have done were on 88-89 e30 so wiring was same for all.

No access to a PEAK tool. Think I may go swap clusters with a 318iS one I have laying around.

I am starting to think the factory OBC is killing my power to the FP relay. Source:

still searching before I attempt that. Trying to be thorough for anyone who ever runs into this issue as well. Nothing as annoying as finding a thread and it just ends with no solution.

          ;-)

For what it's worth, I removed my OBC and put an analog clock in its place. Simply unplugged the unit but left all the wiring intact. I haven't had an issue so I don't think that's it.

FWIW I had a similar issue I'm running an 87 325e with a '94 harness and akg adapter, I could jump the fuel pump relay and get fuel at the rail but wasn't getting anything through the injectors.

My issue wound up being that the PO had removed the main in tank fuel pump, my secondary pump was still in place and pumping enough to get fuel at the rail but wasn't pumping enough to go through the injectors (IIRC it was about .5 psi when I hooked a pressure gauge up)

Is it possible that your fuel pump died during the swap or that the AKG harness is messed up and not powering on the main fuel pump? (that wound up being a secondary issue after I put in a new fuel pump)

I wired a C101 onto the E36 harness, so I am no longer using the AKG adapter.

I have already replaced the in-line fuel pump (removed), and installed an in-tank 255 from a 318iS.

Try unplugging your ews. With it unplugged try cranking. If it doesn't crank anymore, the ews is functional. Plug is back in, key on engine off 5 seconds, then crank. Make sure battery is good and strong (hooked up to charger or jumper cables to another car). Also, With the s50, you can take out the two 10mm screws holding the fuel rail down, pull up the rail with injectors and crank to verify all injectors are firing. What dme are you using?

I am using a 413 Silver label with a conforti Ews delete chip; battery is good and hooked up to the big charger/jumper at the shop. I will try unplugging the ews. The inj have been bench tested, all click, but the car does not pulse them even with the FP relay jumped. The rail holds pressure.

I looked at your thread, I do not have anything resembling an EWS module in my car, it's an 87. My ECU is a 07/95 silver label 413, so it would have EWS II?

Try another DME? Even a regular 413 red, don't drive it on that DME, but just see if it fires...

Edit: just remembered you said this Dme and chip worked on an e36.

Did you do the fuel pump swap same time as s50 swap? Wondering if it's wired up correctly, I never swapped a late model pump onto early car...

You said CPS was checked, is that crank position or cam position sensor? Either of those will prevent you from starting. That's where the Peak Tool will come in handy.

Fuel pump swap was done before with the m20b27. Trying a red label tomorrow hopefully. Crank pos, have not tried a second cam pos sensor.

Yeah sounds like it would be ews II. I agree with above and would suggest a red label 413 or if you have the stock chip for your silver, throw that back in and re-test.

                              I unfortunately do not have a stock chip. I'll give a red 413 a shot. :/
