    reground cams

    Anyone have any experience?

Specifically, if I want to gain .5mm of lift by reducing base circle will the lifters accommodate that in their normal tolerance? When are lash caps required?

I've heard of elgin cams and riot racing as having good turbo regrinds. I've never heard lash caps mentioned for either of them.

Riot Racing I see that their cam prices have jumped by ~$200 though, they used to be $400 with a $350 deposit...

Elgin Cams No prices listed, they used to be sold through DynoSpot Racing

Other than those, I've never heard of anyone else using regrind cams.

VAC says they don't use lash caps for anything under 1.5mm on hydraulic lifters.

Ive heard you can get away with ~.7-1mm...
Weve also installed a few sets of RR regrinds without issues.
