It is a used one yeah, but I don't think that's the issue. I noticed it before when I had a single mass, it just wasn't as bad because of rubber bushings.

No you can instal it both ways. And the harder way that requires removing dust shield etc. is the correct one. Installing it wrong way will cause drive shaft vibration. And eventually it will jam the u-joint.

Can you get me pics of the proper way?

I just remember when I was putting it on o tried to install it that way and the bushing part of the CSB was hitting the ujoint so it wouldn't turn.

ok just did a bit more research on it and I found the proper way to install it. It was always confusing. I will double check which way I have mine installed (need to double check my guibo install anyway).

the e30 CSB mounts in the tunnel are offset, so put the CSB on in the way that it corrects that offset.

Lots of swap threads say to install it "backwards" but that exaggerates the offset so you end up with kink in the driveshaft:

Push it 5mm forward when you tighten the bolts down when you install it, and you're golden. Pretty sure the only reason that's done is to hold the bearing in the rubber - there's a lip on one side only, so the preload stops it from backing out.
