Purchased m52 with obd1, should i bother converting?

I have a buddy trying to convince me to go obd2 because of the modern day support. The motor already has an m50 manifold and harness, is it worth swapping to obd2? The car is a weekend/after work toy and im trying to keep costs low.

If i should, what is involved and what should i expect to spend

Don't bother converting it back to OBDII.

        If it's running good on OBD1 I wouldn't bother.
