The e30 doesn’t feel like I’m driving a 31 year old car anymore. It’s very responsive, predictable pedal, smooth braking even with the RX7 calipers. I would recommend this booster to ever single e30 owner out there.

Hey buddy sorry for the delay to reply, just wanted to start by saying something has changed with the boosters and MC, idk if you have driven any new bmw’s lately but every time I hit the brakes with the slightest touch I feel like my head is going to go through the windshield lol
The feeling I get with this booster in my e30 feels like that. It surprises me every time I hit the brakes lol

What master cylinder and calipers are you running?
This is one thing I don't want. Touchy overpowered brakes.

Not too much in that since. I have the rx7 calipers.
It’s like how I expand it in my post, it’s just a more responsive brake pedal, predictable and feels like it have more braking power. If you guys where in the jersey area I would let you drive it and see for your self.

And inspired by this thread, I also got myself e90 booster. 50€ from ebay and in like new condition. Going to install that to my car next winter when the driving season ends here.
But well. Some people even like the boosterless setups and I personally think that those are the most horrible thing to have...Last edited by pazi88; 09-17-2018, 11:33 PM.

Awesome job man. What reservoir are you doing and the adapters for it. Let me know when you take that thing for a spin.

I now have a 944 booster, Used 20+ years old.
If feels like Slight assist. Less than E30.. But I feel like the E30's original was perfect.
I wonder if my 944 booster is just weak? It holds a vacuum just fine.
This is one of the reasons why I went with the e9x booster and I kept reading that the diaphragms on the 944 boosters break internally, very common.

Any updates to the parts list/DIY? I'm interested to know more about the X3 booster that may be a more ideal fit.
It would be awesome to be able to develop a kit for this swap, so the process can be done without guesswork and getting stuck needing more parts. Even better if all the parts can be ordered new, apart from the booster as that would be pricey.
