i dunno yet, they are close, we'll find out next week when I get my exhaust finished.. Other than that they are close to the strut tower. only half an inch away but with it urethane bushings, I think I'm good.

Can you post a top view pic? Which shorties are they?

Here's some pics of the Shorty Headers, just got them installed today. They look sexy. Got them from Ireland Engineering as well.

Here's the final clearance... They are much closer than anticipated, but I think urethane motor mounts will help. They are only about a mm or so from the strut tower

And this last picture is to show progress... I'll show more later.

Just went into the garage and looked at my e28 M5. The mount pictured above is installed on the passenger side and the green mount is installed on the drivers side.

FWIW - I have the green e28 M5 mounts on both sides of my e30 s50.

That's what I decided to do, and I threaded them all the way down.

Yea, that is too close for comfort. They will rub.

Yeah, I have no doubt they will rub. But now there really isn't anything I can do. Should be interesting to see what happens.

It wouldn't be worth it to pull the motor or the headers to hit it with a hammer. Too much work right now, I just want to see if my car works, all I need is one part and then it's off to the races;-)
