    I used the getrag 265 from the M50. Came from the same car as my block. The head is a fully rebuilt stock S50 head. Everything including buying the car and repairing the old M20 has cost me around $5500 so far.

        No M50 cars had 265s... They were only used in e30 M3s and 528es. Are you thinking of the 250G that would have come in an e36 325i? or the 260 that would have come in an e30 325? Or something else?

          Yeah, my mistake. It's the E36 325 trans.
