Sure, we can do a group buy... get a group together and we'll see what we can do based on the size of the group.

Sorry I skipped over this. We were just at the dyno with a local friend/customer running a stage 1 on an S52. He made ~330hp on an internally stock S52 on the stage 1 turbo running spring only, which is 8psi. He turned it up to 14+ and made ~400hp on race gas, I think. He's basically maxing out the stage 1 turbo. I think he'll be upgrading to a larger turbo soon.

Tuning is $650 (plus dyno time) for a chip tune plus injectors and MAF (if needed). Of course if buy the tuning with the kit, we'll do a package deal.

Are you guys comfortable doing remote tuning, based on afrs?

Are those numbers at the flywheel?

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

All the HP numbers quoted in this thread are at the wheels.

Mike does all the remote tuning based on dyno pulls including HP, torque, and AFRs. Getting the AFRs where you want them is easy, tuning for spark is the hard part. Too much advance and the motor knocks and blows up, too little and EGTs are too high and you break exhaust parts and don't make any power.

              I'm 110% in for a complete bolt-on kit for around 6K$ making 330rwhp at 8 psi on a stock internal S52.

Sorry to be lame but what does "hg" mean in this case. I know usually it reps 'inches of mercury' when referring to vacuum, but here it looks different.

Isn't TCD offering a turbo kit for S/M5X swapped cars?

I would be shocked if his manifold fits the e30 chassis.

Head gasket. People use thicker than stock MLS head gaskets to lower the compression ratio of turbo motors.

Why? They tend to spend time doing the research on what works and what doesn't.

Because it's huge, and so are the turbos they use. Then again, now that I take a second look, it may fit... there is a lot of clearance on the e30 exhaust side. I should go measure their manifold and find out for sure. I have not heard any news about TCD making any progress on an M50/e30 kit. I would love to hear about it.

Honestly, their kits are not comparable to the TRM kit at all. They are much more "full race." They run the charge pipes under the front subframe, they run T4 turbos, etc. TCD kits are a better choice if you want 500-600hp for drag racing purposes. They will make more power on less boost, at the expense of response. TRM kits are a better choice if you want more ground clearance, instant response, and a reasonable (but upgradable) power increase.

I was just throwing this out there as you won't need to change pipes and so on. Now where TCD stands on them ask Beau B he works with them from time to time.

                            Bump.

How would AC play into your decisions? Would an AC compatible kit be a big selling point, or you don't care?

We are moving toward doing a prototype soon.
