    Ok, my turn

After reading about these Dohc swapped e30's for a couple years now I have finally convinced myself that life cannot go on until I have one. So here are some photos of what I have done so far. (not much). And all the parts I have aquired so far. Originally I planned on trying to find an s50 since everything I heard was that it would be nearly impossible to get an s52 converted to obdI by a smog referee. That has now changed and I don't care anymore. I have a couple friends in the area that personally know smog techs that don't care if you give them a little extra $.( Don't care about the visual that is). So I plan on completing the obdI s52 by bimmerfest.(I'm well on my way) With a little help from my assistant eric in the white shirt.

Yeah my bad maybe I should edit them, I didn't think it would be a big deal. I don't want to offend anyone, even though you 2 are j/k.
The only thing getting in the way of this swap is more parts I need to order/acquire. Everytime I come home I go in the garage for a good 15 min looking for something to do.

slowly but surely it's coming together

This engine mount bracket is just barely off. I thought it was kind of weird noone else said anything about this. The only place I've seen someone else mention this is on the e3024v.com

So I broke out the drill and wala........

                Here's my empty bay

Here's the engine and tranny all put together with all the accessories

The moment of truth, I'm obviously very excited for this thing to finally be going in

And there she sits as of yesterday

And here she is again with that sexy m cover on

Now I'm just waiting for the damn treehouse adaptor and booster to get here so I can wrap this up before fest hopefully.

On a side note, is the fuel tank breather valve needed for the engine to run properly or can I get away with routing the line directly from the throttle body to the charcoal canister?

                  Looks nice.

I've left my fuel vent disconnected and left the purge valve connected to the ecu. The fitting on the manifold is capped.

Also, you have two O2 sensors still in your manifold. What are your exhaust plans?

you will be a check engine light if the purge valve isn't connected, and you probably won't pass the visual check for smog if you don't have the purge valve in place

alright I ordered the valve from pelican. Lame

Next order of business is I'm having trouble with plugging in the camshaft sensor.

The one I have has a male fitting like so

Here's the corresponding attachment on the harness, I double checked it (brwn/orge, red/wht, yellow).

                      I'm confused.

On a good note look what else I got
