      No, I got another 89 though, this one is a zinna 325is with a ZF/OBD2 S52.

Don't buy an engine from a junkyard unless you plan on a complete rebuild.

        Plan on a complete rebuild.

Buy a wrecked E36 and part it out to offset the cost.

Don't do it at all if you're "on a budget".... you better have plenty of cash flow, or else trying to skip certain things will bite you in the end.

Really have enjoyed my cars. Can't think of something that I said "Wish I didn't do that". I read this forum a lot before so most of my swap was all new parts. Did new sensors, clutch, bushings and such.

Nice! I think the 89 "is" was the best year. Ellipsoids, nice sound system with tweeters, plastic bumpers and integrated third brake light. I've pretty much made my '88 look like and '89. Got a build thread?

              -I wish I would've changed the throw-out bearing
-Maybe swapped M30 instead of M50. (Besides the MPG's)
              -Bought a complete engine

Used the e21 brake booster.. I don't like how "weak" it is compared to stock. I'll get to swapping it with another setup in the future. And yeah, live in vallejo

+1 I recently resealed my oil pan with RTV. It had a small leak with a new OEM gasket.

What other options are out there? I don't know of anyone else that makes head gaskets for these motors. Or I'm just being ignant.

I hate my e21 booster too. Every time a new person drives the car, they say, "Whoa! What's wrong with the brakes?"

They will stop the car but you really have to stand on 'em.

Also, I am disappointed with the Shrick cams/larger MAF/injectors TMS chip setup. Very little improvement for the big $.

^exactly.. And then when I drive any other car, at the first stop its as if I'm stomping on the brakes (which I probably am) that is equivalent to a normal stop in the e30 lol
