If you use the e46 330 Tranny, you need a flywheel from a Z4, X3, X5, 330 from 3/03 and some other cars. You can make an adapter to use a S50 flywheel but I did not use that in my swap.

Also you need to use the Shifter carrier from the e30 since the 330 tranny uses dual mounting points instead of single like the e46 m3. It must also be shortened.

FYI, I have read that you can use an automatic e36 M3 DS for this and have it bolt up. I purchased one just to see and it is way to short. Either I was sold the wrong drive shaft or this is not possible.

You can use that DS with the ZF transmission, they are talking about the getrag here.
