The rest of the exhaust has a lot to do with that also though.

Has anyone tried putting the m5 and 535 motor mounts next to eachother, I wonder how much taller the 535 is...

I've got a decent solution for your oil pan issue--

I run E36/E46 fitment 16" wheels/tires for daily driving. I mostly do it for gas mileage becasuse I do 100+ miles of highway driving a day. The OD is bigger by about an inch, so it raises the car up a good bit.

I have smaller OD tires on 14's and 15's that I can swap out to for 'sporty' driving.

    Pictures...

I got the wiring harness all figured out and put most of the coolant lines in there places before slapping the intake manifold on. Probably going to hold off on the intake manifold till the very end.

Here's a picture of the jungle of wires.

Anyone know how the thermostat for the throttle body coolant lines is suppose to go? Its pictured in the bottom right of the first picture. I can't seem to picture where it should go...

Here's a picture of what I did with the coolant lines to the timing cover. I chopped off the metal pipe that was originally there using a angle grinder with a cutting blade and cut it about 2 inches length away from the timing cover. I grinded the sharp edged down, and place the obd1 coolant line through it. As a safety precaution I used to clamps to counter each other from letting it slip or get loose.

Anyone know why my shifter carrier is awkwardly shifted to one side and not centered?

The tranny seems to be placed in correctly with the motor.

Well considering I didn't want to heat wrap my header I went ahead and custom fitted the stock motor mount heat shields to work with the e28 m5 motor mounts. Here's the product doing what it was originally intended to do.

Anyone know if its possible to slip ebay headers in without pulling the motor? Just wondering just in case I don't decide to go the obd2 headers route.

They're connected correctly. The stamped wire with a white letter number 1 is for the 1-3 cylinders and the number 2 knock sensor wire is for 4-6.

Make sure you connect the knock sensors in the right order.

over the tranny across the firewall. There might even still be the stock clips from where the stock one was on the firewall.
