Well its confirmed its a blown head gasket. We put some more pressure into the number 1 cylinder and took off the rad cap and it was bubbling.
Sooo. Now Im weighing my options. Part out the M50 and build a stroked M20 like I had in my 4 door. or rebuild the m50 and add some more goodies.

i thought you were happy with the motor. why not just replace head gasket and send the head out to get checked? you could be driving it by next weeeknd.

Fuckin A!!! That thing ran like a champ in the vids you posted! Fuck I'd be sooooooooooooooooooo pissed!

O well, as everyone said, now you have a good excuse for a sick motor build! I mean hey you already have itbs going on it, why not grind the cams crazier, stroke it, and make some really nice numbers! :D

HA, yeah thats the plans. Im actually looking into some parts right now.
Figure out some prices for parts. gaskets. machine work and some other stuff.

Let us know what you find. bent valves will have zero compression. Your compression numbers are very low. I only suspect that it was not tested properly. You need a battery fully charged and to open the throttle when cranking. Always crank te same length of time for each cylinder.

BTW Bent valves will have 0 compression.
