    Thank you.

This is also a power wire that is hooked up to +12V, but it is protected by a 50A fuse in the trunk, called a "fusible link". Should there be a ground fault somewhere, it will blow and protect the electronics in the car. Normally people will power the DME through this lug.

Interesting that is what I thought but did not know it had a fuse. When I test it there is no power there so fuse must be blown.

I am fairly certain you don't have to do anything with that plug. Maybe some folks that have done the conversion with an E34 harness will know better.
    I think you are right.

Ok still no start. It has got to be either the ecu or crank sensor.

When I check the ohms in my crank sensor it reads 550 ohms, I have checked the bently and it says like 1200, but after searching on here I found that most people only have about 500 ohms? Can someone confirm this.

Also is the only way to check if your ecu is bad by swapping it with another?

      Thanks

I am having the EXACT same problem, you have an e34 harness with EGS it looks like. I am not sure if there is anything you have to do with the EGS plug, I didn't get that far because I set my first automatic harness on fire. I am currently stuck where you are though, I pretty much gave up at the end of summer and its been sitting ever since. My engine cranks fine but does not have any fuel or spark. The DME doesn't appear to be grounding the main relay, so none of the engine electronics are turned on. Thats where I left it.
