^^S500's are bad ass. There was one in a [somewhat] recent Classic Motorsports mag with a carbon fiber body and a Hayabusa motor mounted in the passenger seat. Too cool.

There was a radial powered race car from back-in-the-day on display at Daytona when I went down for the 24 hour race. It was bizarre looking. No transmission, no need. Torque from nowhere.

You can delete this if you want, sorry.
do more searching without the bxx part. m50, m52, s50, s52.

also, please lmk if you find an m50b30 or an m52b32.

and to be somewhat hepful, ill let you know that you may want stiffer springs.

Haha, thanks. I see this thread got taken to places I never thought it would go lol...glad I could bring some entertainment :P

I've been perusing and I've found a lot of info. I guess it's just a matter of finding out what would be the most reasonable thing to do.

I'm thinking of an M30 or an M50 now, but man, it's crazy how many different options there are.

What would you say would be the easiest/most reasonable swap? Or should I search for that too lolz

M50 would be the cheapest m30 I think would be the next best thing for the price.

How much is "cheap?" Like including all necessary components, what would be an example final cost of an m50?

Also...wtf is up with everybody having those frickin superimposed-face-soldier pictures??? lol

A few people on here have done it for 1000 but you could do 2000 for everything.

I don't know dude, your car is semi-rare in the US, being a Euro 323i and all. Swap an m50 in another shell, but keep the Euro all old school. Maybe a beefed up m20 (2.7 with a 731 head) or m30... its your car and your call tho, dude.

                        just my $0.02

Yeah, I HAVE been considering that...just restoring the old engine. Might end up doing that.
