    s54 codes - voltage help

    Hi Gang,

This weekend I was running the car as part of a race weekend for the first time in 2 years. The car ran awesome but felt down on power in the 3-5k range. I didn't pull the codes until after the race but there are a bunch.

3D DME Pedal Position Sensor 2 Signal
2C DME Thermal Oil level Sensor (NOT USED)
78 DME Electric Throttle potentiometer signal comparison
6B DME Electric Throttle Self Test
24 DME Tank Venting Valve (NOT USED)
36 DME System Volatge Main Relay
    7 DME Camshaft Sensor Inlet
A DME Exhaust Camshaft Sensor Signal
    B9 DME Function Exhaust Vanos
    B8 DME Function Intake Vanos
    19 Cylinder 1 Ignition Coil
    17 Cylinder 2 Ignition Coil
    34 Cylinder 5 Ignition Coil
    33 Cylinder 6 Ignition Coil
    32 Cylinder 4 Ignition Coil
    18 Cylinder 3 Ignition Coil

There was no misfiring or anything like that, just that in retrospect I don't think the vanos was functioning and with all those codes there seems to be a supply or reference voltage (or ground issue). I clear the codes and they all come back immediately on start up.

There is no power at pin 8 of x60001. Can someone confirm what feeds pin 8? I thought it might be the DME relay but it checks out. It originates in the main harness junction box that sits under the manifold but the TIS has been no help.

    Thank you in advance!

Where are you getting your main relay power from?

fuseable link next to battery ok?

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

Boy, I'd be looking at live engine data on INPA for those codes-
how's the 5v supply from the DME?
Likewise, your grounds guess seems pertinent.

Losing accurate ('plausible') data from the cam sensor(s) does disable VANOS on
      the M5x engines.
