    S54

It is alive! I have seen it with my own two eyes. E30 M3 with an S54/s-speed M/T and drive by wire throttle. It has been two years in the making and it has finally happened; with the original bmw ecu, harness and double vanos.

Definitely not my car. Could not afford such skills. Owner is doing my S52/6-speed swap into a 318i. Video is being done at the moment and will be posted. Guys on the east coast just keep your eyes peeled. It is red and in the New York area. Real badass. Allyou doubters just keep calm; no rush is required on this one.

Do not worry you are quite close to the beast. You may even know the owner.

The owner of the shop has an s54 swap. The same shop is doing his s52 swap.

My car is getting an S52/6-speed swap; the other car is getting the entire drivetrain/diff/electronics from an E-46 M-3. That car is an E30 M-3. As I stated earlier that kind of swap I can only dream about.

I think that an affordable way to put the S54 into E30's and E36's is just around the corner.

Course affordable is a relative term.... I wonder how this community would define affordable for full SEM and basically plug it in, and it works?

You are definitely correct on that one but with so many of the e30 crowd unable to afford the M50/52, S50/52 swap; I think it is going to be any even bigger stretch to buy the S54 motor/tranny/electronics[$6000], ecu re-programming[$4000], pay to get the swap and all the necessary fabrcation done on a small budget. The only people who could get this done on a budget are those who are [a] shop owners with a lot of skills or [b] highly skilled wrenchers with a home garage, patience, time and good friends.
