E30 S54 ess vt1 started only two seconds

    good morning
    I apologize in advance
because I do not speak English and so I'm forced to use a translation software that is not always very understandable

I just finished assembling a s54 smg change in manual gearbox and equipped with a compressor kit ess vt1
I did re-encode the DME to the gearbox and remove EWS in a specialist in england
My problem is that I have all connect
    The car starts 2-second stops
    pressure regulator Nuke 5bar
    Gasoline pump oem e46 M3
I saw that other person had almost the same symptom
    thank you for your help

I'd suspect the EWS hasn't really been turned off.

      Any stored codes?

it's not. it won't start at all if EWS is enabled.

Could the fuel supply and return lines be hooked up backwards?

It sounds like a fuel delivery issue. If you have the stock, non-return fuel rail, it definitely takes several cranks to purge the system of all of its air.

Good luck, and let us know how things go!

are you sure? is the priming pulse enough to make it fire?

When i first got into this swap rodeo that was the exact same symptom i was experencing. Fires for 1-3 seconds then dies. MSS54 only, all other ECUs (MS41-43, etc) dont even try. Always wondered why that was :P

I think the other ones don't fire the injectors at all. MSS54 definitely primes them, even when EWS hasn't been disabled. the priming pulse is just enough to fire the engine apparently.

I hope the OP didn't pay much for that flash if it won't even start!

I check my fuel system is ok
I has all the original boxes for EWS I is not against the electrical diagrams to connect
And I believe that this EWS system must also counter
that if you advise me to flash the DME as soon
                            thank you for your help

I saw E30strube had a post with the same problem
but it does not mark how he had resolved his concern
