Modern Classic: The N52 M3 Plus (RHD)

    Hey guys

After years of wanting to get back into the garage and lusting over E30 M3s I bit the bullet and bought an old unregistered two door 1987 318i. Striker01 suggested I put together a build thread so here we go!!!

My aim for my car is something that pays tribute to the M3s but with a modern twist. I don't want a replica, so it's going to have various differences: a similar metal body kit, a smooth N52 and some more modern interior creature comforts. It's not going to be a track car, but will see some spirted driving through some nice bumpy back roads (my background is rallying) - so firm but not hard.

Not 100% sure how people normally put build threads together, but I will put some of my work on here. Will probably keep each sub project to a separate post.

In the meantime I'm still going to keep reading everyone elses build project and learn from you guys. I've already leant on hoveringuy for the oil pan - now all welding up and looking good.

Great to be part of this community!!

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.
