    Let’s not forget that a well selected N52 comes with a sweet 6spd manual behind it also. And donor cars are everywhere for under 2k. As far as wiring, I’ve embarked on the challenging task of using the stock DME, DSC, CAS, and Kombi. To do so requires keeping the junction box since the CAN and other required signals and wiring pass through it. This is no small or easy task.

        So true. I was able to buy mint 2006 330i with low miles because the owner thought engine started to have rod knock but all it was air in the vanos system, he let the car sit for 3 months and after starting it, vanos had a rattle, he shut it off and listed it for sale, it still ran, I bought it, drove to my house and noise was gone. Then I bought two more. Now is golden time to buy anything E90
