    sorry to bump an old thread, but does anyone know approximately what this would cost parts and labor wise assuming it was done right - motor, tranny, wiring, custom pieces as needed, etc.

        it would be cheaper to just turbo a motor that's already in an E30.

        N54 swap would make most sense if you had the entire car to take parts from and could DIY. Dropping it off at a shop is going to cost more than just buying a low miles 335i.
