Et15 is way too low for a 15x7. Even Et24 with 205s barely works.

For an 8" wheel i still maintain you want at least et30. Et20 will poke like crazy and rub everywhere.

16x8 et20 with 215/45-16 tires would be incredibly tight even with trimming the flares and rolling the fenders right?

Its either that or 15x7 et15 with 205/50-15, the 15's might actually have a chance of fitting right?

I was forget, i will roll some day those arch little, also try to install those plastic arch better to looks better.

It is hard to find now days...But there is few ideas, but those rims company dont know are they fit Bmw, also i would get totally custom rims some day, when i have some money, this was some test fit.
Of course i can get some rims what are ment to Bmw, some Hartges 3pcs, but they are little rare.
Also i have one idea, but i dont have find right rims yet, make some three-piece rims me self, i love that middle-section at this rim, also this e30 need little suspension work to rise it little, it would look epic, when that would rise about 2 ich up :)

I want this looks at my ix, but now i would need premodel ix

Yeah, i know that....But sorry 15" are to me too small, to me.
Yeas I agree that, they stick out little too far, those bolted adapters are too much 20mm, but this was some test also. There was lots of dudes what was saying those will fit.
Or some thinner adapters(when i got some time, i will messure again, how much need space), thats why there is that adapter soo thick, to those rims can rotate, those are ment for front wheel drive car, need about 20mm clearense at front brake caliber bracket....Or i will get my hands those 3 piece 16" rims, soo i can get right ET and wide.

the spacers makes it ET0 or even ET-3. yeah, I agree, it doesn't look good.

the one above with the ESMs looks bang on though! I love the raised white letters. Good to know my calculations for the required offset on an 8" wheel were pretty much right on. I think you could get away with a few mm lower offset which might allow you to run a wider tire but as you know it's tight..

Sorry Sade, but those wheels do not work. They stick out too far. I am pretty sure 15x8 et 25 would fit with no rubbing. Maybe they would still fit with smaller spacers, like 10 mm?

Those are actually the exact rims I had in mind, I guess I'll go with the 15" instead. Your car looks great!

    It's kinda tight.

I have 215/50/16 et35 16x8 esm 001, rear fenders rolled and flares trimmed, and rubs on the front on the fender liner.

Guys, have any of you found a difference in steering/suspension after going to lower offset wheels?

I had bought my first ix on original et41 7x15 basketwaves. After some time I put on MiM 1900 et12 7x15 and found no difference at all. At that time the car was a crap, the steering was not shar and I had a little experience with driving, especially at the level one could recognize a difference.

As years passed, I bought 2 other iXs, one on ET24 RWD 7x15 basketwaves and later a former rally iX that I put speedline maracana 6.5x15 et36.

Now I'm rebuilding a race ix to a daily car (means race car without welded rollcage...) and I was wondering what would be the best offset for street/track use.

    My experience:
    ALL TIRES = 205/55/15

et41 BBS - stock, nothing to say

et12 MiMs - rears did not fit, rubbed

et24 BBS - looked better than stock, fited without a problem

et36 Speedlines - the best thing I have put on IX yet.

And why am I asking? Because I have prepared styling 32 et46 5lug with a "BBK", which means taller wheel hubs and wheel spacers to fit calipers. Still I think I would go too wide and sell the parts and keep stock brakes (at least I do have rear vented set from 325ix touring)

The car is gonna be daily as well as track, I prefer handling to look. What is your most preffered offset for track use?
