Should I just pull engine/trans together as one?

So I am looking at replacing the following:

    Head gasket
    cam seal
    crank seal
    rear main seal
    timing belt
    clutch
    transfer case VC
    right front axle
    control arms

    I guess my options are:

    1) drop t-case alone, pull engine & tranny...

    2) leave engine in, drop t-case, drop tranny...

      Thanks.

Will just drop everything on to dolly's and lift the car with a hoist.

is it easier than lifting, since I want to replace the motor?

Ive done several engine pulls both ways and I am pretty much sold on the pull everything technique. It makes everything way easier... This time it'll be a drop though, since I dont have overhead room. I suspect it wont be too hard.

Went spectacularly easy. I might never pull anything up through the bay again.
Once I had everything prepared it took me about 10 minutes to have the whole drivetrain out and beside the car.

awesome, sounds like ill be giving this a shot, ive done lots out the top, but the added weight and difficulty of the front drive has me a little anxious to be suspending it above the body...

how high did you have to lift the front end of the car to pull the drivetrain out from under the car?

However tall the engine is minus the manifold. I did it in a low garage.

That is how I pull all engine/trans combos. Especially nice when you are working with the added length/weight of the transfer case
