    RWD - handling

Will an RWD conversion affect the handling of the ix much?

but.. why would you... do that?

The front struts are angled completely differently than on fwd cars, it'll understeer like a pig.

Sell your IX then buy a clean iS. A RWD IX is going to be tough to sell when that comes up
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

So making it an RWD will make it understeer - why?

The car is road legal with a turbo engine.

why the hell would you do that?

          there is no good reason.

So if I retain the AWD the car will not handle like ass?

Could someone please explain the physics behind this?

The reason I am considering this is because there is noe current solution to make the front diff more durable when running high hp's.

the suspension geometry is not set up for only RWD. Much less caster, different scrub radius, different track width, etc. etc. etc.

Ryan had an ix in his shop that somebody had removed the AWD and put an S52 in. It was so bad, that they removed the S52 and returned the car back to stock.

take care of the diff it can handle moderate power, going for high horsepower, buy an e, i, or is

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

                    there's always an E34 or E46 diff

What would be required to use such a diff?
