where to buy 325iX tie rod ends

New member here. I thought $160 was a little high. Is it? They are different from the rwd e30s right? Thanks for your input.

Yes different... I couldnt find anyone who just sold ends, so bought inner and outer and just unscrewed and used the ends.

Thanks all. These intertubes are a big place. How about brake hard lines, say if they were rusted completely out, hypothetically speaking, of course...not really.

Then you go to the local auto parts and buy brake lines, then go to town bending and replacing.

no way. new brake lines from BMW aren't that expensive and they come pre-bent at exactly the right lengths. you're wasting your time if you use generic stuff.

During the winter months my e30 IS my daily. The closest BMW dealer is like 2 hours away, so other than taking the bus, it's the local parts store.

And honestly bending lines is easy shit.

I know from personal experience that sometimes ordering online ISN'T and option. I may be crazy, but sometimes I need to do emergency repairs and am forced to use generic stuff, but obviously you don't have this issue since your able to see the future and order everything ahead of time.

I'm not going to argue further with you. I in no way stated that the auto store generic brand is better, but I did however insinuate that it will do the job and stated the fact that line bending is easy.

I can't see the future, but I can damn well plan for it. ;)

You don't have to go to the stealership for OEM parts. Online vendors such as Autohausaz.com, RMEuropean.com etc sell OE quality replacement parts. I only go to the stealership so my friend can hook me up with old free tires and cheap oil filters

Planning ahead sometimes isn't in the cards when your a broke college student (like most people on this forum).

And no, I'm not taking it personal...I just don't see the point in arguing about something like hardline brands. Though if you'd like for me to, then fee free to stop cluttering this guys thread and we'll continue our conversation via pm.

Also fyi, only stuff I buy from local auto stores is fluids and a set of brake lines. Everything else is sourced via online parts stores or forums, so I do plan ahead as much I can, but shit happens.
