Haha mine too. I decided to climb a long steep hill with 4-5" on it, in crappy all seasons, and it took a while, but it clawed its way to the top, then did great on the snow covered freeway into work. Need to get my studded snows mounted up.

not expecting snow anytime soon. still on R888s for a couple more weeks. going to drop off my ix weaves to be refurbished, then I'm getting some new blizzaks. I fixed my water leaks (rear window trim grommets), flushed my coolant, and the only other thing left is to raise the car up about 1".

Well, the transfer case has new fluid, new boots up front and the snow tires are going on. We should be getting snow here in the valley in about 2 weeks! Boise, ID valley
ix will be all ready...I love the heated seats:)

just did the jack test - passed with flying colors! I don't think I ever did the jack test with this TC, as I knew the VC was good and only had 40,000 miles on it (had the receipt for a TC replacement by the PO, but it was an automatic and I did a 5 speed swap).

still good to know for certain it's perfectly functioning. don't even really have to rev it up, just let out the clutch just above idle and it moves instantly.

                put suspension in winter mode

since i dont have coilovers yet and have the original springs/shocks from previous owner that did H&R's and bilsteins to lower it and i had a spare set of stock but leaking complete front struts (for a coilover conversion down the road) from the donor car of a new rear subframe to fix a toe out issue ,today i decided to put the nonleaking but fuctional original boge shocks in my spare struts and original springs all round to put back at stock height (winter mode) maybe the wife wont rip the valence lip off this year . car sits pretty level with stock front shocks and bilstein shocks rear definately rides softer too

this also give me a chance to disassemble the H&R /Bilstein struts to see if the bumpstops were trimmed which i suspect not since i could not push the front of the car down at all with those on it, im sure previous owner paid someone to install that didnt know to trim the bumpstops.

this will be much easier down the road to adjust winter height with coilovers someday

slow at work today so had time to disassemble the spare IX struts today and as suspected the bumps stops had not been trimmed on the Bilsteins (surprised how easy it was to do) ,also cleaned the debris out of the spring perches and drain holes cleaned some surface rust and painted that reassembled with generous anti-sieze paste coating on the insert threads . ready to try them again next summer ,will be interesting to see the difference with bump stops trimmed.

                        -tighten front sway bar links
                        -diagnose my neverending drivetrain/suspension vibration
-readjust wipers (didnt align properly after replacing wiper motor)
-replace t-fitting for windshield washer lines (hoping this is why my jets don't work properly)
-have tires mounted on winter wheels
-have tires dismounted from Alpinas (worn)
                        -check fluid levels throughout
-diagnose why my temp gauge no longer works (prob won't happen anytime soon)
-diagnose why my car doesn't always start on 1st turn (prob won't happen anytime soon)
-tighten adjustment nut on steering column
-source used transfer case + front driveshaft (like i don't have enough broken spares of these in my garage lol)

M-technik-3....are those the OZ superleggara? Nice if so. Wish the new ultraleggara came in a 15", and was as light as those! 4 lug and I'd have been interested when available.

ID:	7148177Soon! These just came yesterday! ( rings). AR lugbolts should be here next.

After two years of garaging my IX all winter, finally have winter tread and rims. This should be fun.
