    New e30 325i owner

I just recently just got a 1988 325ix for 500 dollars. It needs a few things like rear bumper, interior carpet, kidney grill, front light covers, tires etc. as of now I have to find out why it's not getting any fuel. The car came with new pump and filter. I've got all the service records of the car and most of all the importan service has been done. The struts have been replaced with bilstein yellows which is a plus.

Looks like its in decent shape for $500. Is the awd in working order? The invoice, "Under body has usual IX rust" ...IX rust, stfu lol

Not a bad price. You got the holy grail, 88s have sport seats, 2dr 5spd. Best you can get

It doesn't have a lot of rust. The guy was going to track the car so he took all the stuff off the car. He put a lot of money into it as far as serive. Over 4k. I really wanted a wrd tho but for 500 I was like I'll take it. The awd system works from what the guy told me plus the people who serviced it. It's been down here in North Carolina for a while now so it doesn't have as much major rust as most that are still up north. I just need to find some parts. I hope to do something to it. I'm vw guy and my dads a bmw guy so we should be able to get the ball rolling. Wanted a r32 but I think this will do plus it's a bmw.

too bad he gutted it, but that's fixable. it does look like there's not really any rust - one place I always look is the engine bay, if the nuts that hold the shock mounts on are rusted, the rest of the car is probably rusty too..

              you could always build a 3 liter M20. :p

Whatever, at least the wheelwell looks good. Just find a used cover and replace that rusty SOB.

So that's all that is. It's just a cover. Does it matter which car it comes off

Does anyone know what this car is worth running? I got it running a few days ago. I put a new tank in it. I've really lost intrest in this car. The car runs but put out some blue smoke. The four wheel drive does work. I might be letting the car go it's too old for me and I don't want to put money into it. The front drive shafts are in good shape as well

It's pretty beat. without working AWD, I'd say $1000-$1500 max. it doesn't look too rusty, might be a good shell for somebody who wants to swap their drivetrain out of one that's a total rust bucket.

The awd does work. 1000 is good money to me. I'd rather someone else have it that really cares about this car. It's nothing to me at this point

yeah, the only reason is because it's relatively rust free. my parts car was 100% mechanical but the body was toast, rust holes the size of your fist in multiple locations. it would have been a perfect drivetrain to swap over into a car like that.
