i have had billy sports and h&r's on my mtech for about 3 years now and they are awsome. i had billy hd's on the ix i traded to get my mtech and i thought they were also pretty awesome but the car really wasn't lowered. i have an ix sitting in my back yard with billy hd's and h&r springs. i really have not driven it much per se, but i plan to do some resto work on it this summer and use it for work in colorado this winter. i have never had any trouble with any bilstein shock on any bmw that i have owned. the ride is firmer with this setup, but takes bumps well. i have purchased several sets in the past and will probably purchase several more in the future.

i think chris's problem was more an issue with the valving the factory did with his front shocks more than anything.

meh. the konis cost a little less in the end and work better. you can't exactly run Bilstein HDs at -2.5" ride height! :p

I've only ever run billys on my stock height iX, but I've run bilstein sports and Konis on my other e30, and would choose koni any day for a lowered or stiffer sprung car.
