    Strengthened front diff options

So, I was watching the video below:

And saw some details from an Australian company called albins:

And had the idea that they might have done some work at some point or another for someones iX front diff. I emailed them, and they said they hadn't, but that it may be a possibility.

They said if they were able to get a custom setup working, it could cost as much as $10,000 for a one-off which is way out of my price range.

If however they would be able to get an order for 10-20 of them, the price would reduce to a more "reasonable" $2k. Still seams quite large, but I thought I would put it out there.

Is there any interest at all from anyone? I'm guessing not, but I figured the info might be good nonetheless.

$2k would buy about 6-8 front diffs. I'd have to be on my 4th or 5th front diff to give this a consideration. And honestly, I would probably just sell the ix and get a RWD e30 at that point, haha.

Why not buy like those parts, those stock front diffs will end someday and they will come extra expensive, like all "rare" e30 parts. Are that stock front diff in production in Bmw??

I would want like that part, if i had e30 ix with a lot of power and planning to keep it like long time...Ok, the end it is all about money, someone want special part then do it

I should mention that the Aussie dollar is on par with the Canadian dollar. Both of which are trading at about .75 to the American dollar. Which puts the cost to you at $1500.

You have to put a price on your time for changing front diffs, and also on piece of mind for having a superior machine as well. Just a couple thoughts.

1500 isn't bad, I'd pay that for a bullet proof drop in diff.

That's a good point. When the next front diff pops I'll start looking, haha.

Ha, I watched that video yesterday and new thoughts about a custom ratio ring and pinion for the E34 diff came to life once again :D

That would be great if we were to get custom transfer case, front diff and driveshaft package from high performance.

sounds cool but I doubt you could sell even 5 sets.. a full custom transfercase would be insanely expensive. way more than even a new one from BMW.
