No worries - I am just trying to save the thing from the fibre blade. I'll definitely post it on CL before doing anything drastic.

It is a Colorado car BTW. Back East here the vast majority of iX cars are long gone due to rust or on their way.

They are rare here now.

worst comes to worst - get it running with an ix drivetrain and make it into a rally beast. That would be better than a goofy drivetrain swap. :p

Distinct possibility. It still has the engine and 5-speed - I just sold all of the AWD stuff. Never know - a parts car might come my way...
