iX rear sway same as normal e30?

So I'm looking to put a bigger rear sway in my iX and I'm wondering if it has to be iX specific?

        you have it backwards

rear is the same as the stock E30 M3

front is unique - there is no aftermarket.

so if I want to upgrade mine do I need to get one that says its for a normal e30 or m3, none say they will work on the iX but is the rear of the iX all the same as other e30's?

yes, you can use any E30 rear swaybar on your ix.

I'd probably go for an H&R 18mm or ST 19mm. avoid anything too big (like the IE 22mm) since you have to leave the front stock.

ix and m3 rear sways are the same size

              all other e30s are smaller

what is the ST 19?, whats the problem with the 22?

my last mini handled like an animal and had a 25.5mm rear and factory front among other things (not sure how much of that carries over to an awd)

22mm is too big. it's going to make the car very tail happy, especially in the wet/snow.

bumping this from the dead, what is the advantages of having an aftermarket rear sway? improving chassis rigidity?

                      less roll, less understeer/more oversteer.

Are you running one in your car? And if you are, what kind?

no, mine are stock. I never really felt like it was something I needed to upgrade.
